Senteu Marianyi Eliud

PARTNER IN CHARGE OF LITIGATION

  • Graduated with a Law Degree {honors} from Makerere University in Uganda. He is currently a practicing Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and also a member of the Law Society of Kenya.he is the partner in charge of dispute resolution.
  • He specializes in civil and criminal litigation as well as mediation and arbitration.
  • He also has experience in prosecuting and defending procurement matters at the public procurement administrative review board. The high court of Kenya and the court of appeal.

Current Responsibilities

Senteu Marianyi Eliud specializes in Civil and Criminal Litigation. He is armed with vast experience in his field. His work helps to enforce and protect civil and criminal laws.

As a litigation attorney he deals in representing clients regarding legal disputes which are resolved through a lawsuit, mediation or negotiated settlement. Daily responsibilities include interviewing clients, rendering legal advice, performing legal research, taking depositions, attending site inspections, arguing motions before a judge, and drafting legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions and also undertakes briefs of a more general nature for our corporate clients and has acted in matters relating to employment, property law, divorce and medical and professional negligence.

He has vast working experience in debt collection for financial companies. His exposure has included drafting and issuing the relevant Statutory Notices, instructing the auctioneers and defending injunction suits filed against the chargees. In the duration of his years in practice, he has handled over 1,000 debt collection files for financial institutions both contentious and non¬¬ contentious.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of the litigation department include compiling information for court cases, conducting legal research on current and existing laws or similar court decisions, on their enforceability to Kenyan related cases and situations and also to the firm’s cases, interpreting such laws and their regulations, filing and serving court and respondent’s documents and compiling the litigation clientele data.

Senteu Marianyi Eliud has further knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, agency rules and executive orders. He has exceptional knowledge of the structure and content of the English language. In addition, he has knowledge of processes and principles for providing personal services as well as customer service.

He has vast experience in defending insurance claims on behalf of Kenindia Assurance Co. Ltd and Amaco Insurance Co. Ltd. amongst others. During his years in practice, he has defended over 1,500 insurance claims.
